This pungent herb has many uses, not just to keep the vampires away.
We use it often in cooking to add a bit of spice and flavour, but did you know it has health benefits as well?

Garlic can be taken in an oral form to lower our blood pressure or thin our blood. Studies show it reduces our cholesterol and rids our blood of other fats that may occur. It has been used to help with the common cold and osteoarthritis symptoms, but that has not been scientifically proven.

I do know that it does help to strengthen our immune system and lower inflammation. In addition, there is a host of antioxidants in garlic.

It is also very low in calories, so enjoy.
