I think the weather is finally starting to break. Thank goodness. It has been a long one.
Yesterday I left Glastonbury and went into Wells for the first time in a number of years. Wells has the distinction of being the smallest city in England. In the UK, a place is classified as a city if it has a cathedral, and Wells has a beautiful cathedral.
When my friend Lucy and I decided to go out for dinner, we had two important notes to hit. One was we wanted it to be outside of Glastonbury, and two, we wanted it to have air-conditioning. So we ended up at an Italian place that could cater to both of our dietary requirements, and we had a fun night.
The Goddess Conference is this week in Glastonbury, and there are a lot of women in town wearing flower crowns and flowing garments. They all seem to be having a wonderful time.
The full moon was last night, and boy did it seem to affect some people. My flat looks over a roundabout, and somewhere in the late hours of the night somebody had decided to sit on the roundabout and tell all and sundry at the top of their lungs that we are all existential beings. It was not how I wanted to be woken up. About an hour later, there was a couple standing in the middle of the same roundabout, having a very loud argument about where they wanted to go. One had decided that he was going to go into the next town, which is called Street, and the other wanted to go to Frome, which is 21 miles away. Probably not something you want to do at one o’clock in the morning. The gentleman who decided he was going to Street (about 2 miles away) set off with a full pint of beer in his hand, while the woman marched on up the hill. I am not sure if either made it to where they were going, but it did get quieter… for another hour, when somebody decided to go through my recycling. Life in the centre of town.
A little dose of guidance for a complicated world!

Guidance: Four of Cups
This is a time of contemplation and rest. It is time to look at the big picture, not only the obvious. You may feel bored or perhaps under-appreciated, but maybe now is simply the time to relax and meditate.
Proceed: The Tower
The chaos and the catastrophe of The Tower has emerged. It is going to be a bit bumpy, but that freedom can bring around a revelation about the changes that need to be made. The worst is probably behind you, but dealing with the fallout is never fun.
What it all means:
Hard work has paid off. However, you have had to pay a price. The road has not been easy. You need a rest. The chaos is all around you. Take a step back, look carefully, and see what lies ahead. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Remember to breathe, and this too shall pass.
