Wednesday’s Weed – Cinnamon

One of my favourites! I use it in a lot of recipes. But it is my youngest son’s least favourite.

It has many healing properties, and it goes well in hot chocolate (so does tequila, but that’s for another post).

Cinnamon has many healing properties for gut health. It is very good for your liver and can help with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. You might have noticed I drink a lot of tea, and I add cinnamon to most. It also can help soothe the urinary tract, which is good if you suffer bladder infections.

Cinnamon is considered good for acne-prone skin because of its antimicrobial properties.

And because cinnamon is considered a warming spice, it can boost energy and help lower your blood sugar.

There you are, cinnamon, not just for baking.
