Happy June

It has been a beautiful, warm, sunny week here in the UK. I was in London at the weekend, and they had their hottest days on record. Let’s just say I don’t think I have ever sweated so much in my entire life. It made a very, very long, very hot coach ride home. Taking the coach home was interesting. I was sitting beside a Russian translator. A lovely English gentleman who actually translated books from Russian to English. It was fascinating to watch him work.

The purpose of my journey to London was to go to the big MBS (Mind Body Spirit) fair. I’ve been to this fair several times in the past. I went in expecting a large event with lots of publishers, crystals, herbs, tarot cards, and more. I have to say I was very disappointed. The event was about a quarter of its former size. And I’m talking last year. And the footfall (foot traffic) was just not there. I went over to sit with a friend of mine who was selling her absolutely amazing ‘Grief Journey Oracle.’ I helped her to commiserate over what a very slow show it was. As someone who does many shows every year, I know how devastating a bad show can be. My heart goes out to her.

I had expected to write a review about how fabulous the show was. Unfortunately, I’m not able to do that. However, that is not to say that I went home empty-handed because I certainly did not. My new crystal ball collection now has a beautiful lemon quartz and a beautiful new citrine. I also managed to pick up a wonderful gold sheen obsidian moon. And I was gifted a lovely print of a crow from the Grief Journey Oracle. Which I will treasure.

Back to Glastonbury I came. And back to work I went. It is half-term, so the kids are off school. The weather is perfect for it, even if I find it overly sweltering. The move to the Wytches Cave was a good one for me. Yes, I am much busier with readings, which I love. But the people who own it and work there have welcomed me with open arms. I feel like I have a bonus family. I really like walking up early and opening the shop. I enjoy working at the desk and helping clients out. I feel like I am part of a wonderful family. My reading room is gorgeous, and the energy is amazing. In a lot of ways, I feel like I have come home. So I have to thank Rhiannon and her team for making me feel special and welcome.

OK, OK, enough being sappy. Let’s get along with a Three-Card reading.

Three Card Reading

A little dose of guidance for a complicated world!

Betty Jane Ware - Three Card Reading.

Challenge: Judgement
Why are you so hard on yourself? It might be time to remember just who you are and how strong you can be. The only one looking at you harshly is you.

Guidance: Eight of Swords
Feeling stuck, anxious and unable to see your way clear. The ties that hold you, the prison that you have put yourself in, are just that. A place you have chosen to be. It might be time to break Free.

Proceed: The Lovers
Partnerships, friendships or relationships, you are blessed. The angels were looking down on you with many blessings, and it’s time to make a choice and move forward.

What it all means:
There seems to be a lot of anxiety around you right now. You may be feeling overwhelmed and less than worthy. It’s time to break free of those feelings. You have a support group. It might even be time to lean on them. Look to your relationship for strength and fortitude.
