Review time!

I had the original Transparent Tarot when it first came out all those years ago. I found the cards were sticky and difficult to use, so I never used them. The box sat on a shelf, unloved. I was so disappointed because I loved the deck’s premise. Layering the cards to tell the story intrigued me so much. But when I tried to shuffle the cards, it was like trying to shuffle wadded-up paper. The cards simply did not move well at all. They frustrated me so much that I abandoned them. I simply hate giving up on a deck. It hurts my heart.
When I saw it was re-released, I was initially unimpressed, but then I heard some murmurs that they had fixed the problems. I was ambivalent, so I pulled out my old one. They had gotten worse over the years. Still, what have I got to lose? And got the new release. What a beautiful surprise! Even the box had improved.
The cards move independently of each other. WOW. I was so impressed. The difference really makes this deck worthwhile. The only negative is that I don’t like the shiny, silky reading cloth. (Emily said the same thing) nothing like having the creator agree that the old white one was preferred. That was an easy fix. I find myself reaching for this deck more often now. It is an absolute joy to work with.
Well done, REDFeather Publishing!
