I have a habit of arriving very early at the airport. Once you arrive at the airport, you’re on holiday, especially after you go through security.

It has been an interesting trip so far. We met Dennis at the London airport. He took a flight that was three hours ahead of ours, so he had to wait for us at the airport because the car rental, etc., was in my name, and he doesn’t know his way around England as well as we do.

At the car rental, we managed to be smooth-talked into a very large upgrade. I don’t know what it is about the word “Mercedes”. However, we now have a very large, very comfortable, but very expensive vehicle to drive for the week.

We made our way to Glastonbury, pointed out some sites along the way, including Stonehenge. Just as we were passing, we got stuck in traffic and actually had to turn around to find an alternative route. Not much fun, but we managed it and arrived at our cottage.

After settling in and taking a short walk, we picked up some provisions for the next morning and then met up to have dinner at a pizza place. I have a feeling that pizza for dinner is going to be a common occurrence over the next week, as it is our friend’s favourite food to eat. Although he is a 65-year-old man, he’s like a 15-year-old boy when it comes to pizza.

Today’s agenda includes coffee, shopping, and sparkly hair.

Over the years, I have brought Reif Estates tarot wine to conferences. This is the first time any of them have broken. So the Tarot-themed cushions are wet, and I had to throw out some very wine-soaked books and Three-Card-Reading envelopes. And this time I had taken more care packing it. Oh well, four bottles survived. And today I will dry out the cushions. Sorry to my friend Kim, for whom they are for. Wine-soaked cushions for your birthday. I was going to try to Febreze them or something, but I thought I would wait and let her do it. They might be salvageable.

I hope all of my friends have an amazing time in Barrie this weekend! I am very thankful to my friend Kim for Duke (dog) sitting and for Ghost sitting. Ghost is the family cat. Although it does sound like a lot of fun to say my friend is a ghost sitter.

When I return, I will be back at work and heading to the Orillia show. I will let you know my spring schedule as soon as it is finalized.

On the road…Orillia!

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving. I know we will be here in the UK for the holiday. We haven’t decided where we are going yet, but we do have a couple of options. This is only our first day here, but many pictures to follow on my social media in the upcoming days.
